Job summary

The Integrated Care Clinician (Paramedic) – Band 6 in Cwmbran offers full- or part-time hours with flexible working patterns. The post holder will perform telephone triage assessments and advise the most appropriate interventions in line with Trust policies and guidelines.

You will work autonomously within agreed protocols, contributing to NHS Wales’ urgent care strategy and helping to deliver a clinically effective, patient-centred service. A varied shift pattern includes nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse (adult or Child) or HCPC Registered Paramedic with post registration experience.
• Evidence of undertaking regular update training and continuous personal/professional development as required by regulating body.
• Flexible approach to work – rotating shift system including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Undertake telephone triage assessments of patients.
• Advise the most appropriate intervention to meet the needs of the patient using best clinical practice.
• Work in an autonomous capacity, assessing and advising callers within agreed guidelines.
• Be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting urgent and emergency care across Wales.
