Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a Treatment Operator to join the Blandford team. The role involves operating and maintaining sewage treatment plants and pumping stations, and running advanced wastewater and sludge processes to meet quality standards.

You will ensure compliance with procedures while protecting health and safety, with shifts including evenings and weekends. A driving licence (BE preferred) and willingness to work outdoors are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant.
• GCSEs in English, maths and a technical subject.
• Happy working outside in all conditions; flexible approach.
• A valid driving licence, ideally BE, and ability to work shifts.
• Confined spaces training will be provided and WHS rules followed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards.
• Run advanced wastewater treatment and sludge processes.
• Ensure compliance with policy, processes and procedures.
• Maintain health, safety and welfare of colleagues, public and self at all times.
• Work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.

If so, we are looking for a Treatment Operator to work in our Blandford team.

What you'll do

Your role will involve:

• the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards
• running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants
• ensuring compliance with company policy, processes and procedures
• ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times
• working outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.

What you'll need

You will need experience working unsupervisedin an industrial or process plant.

Mechanical experience would be desirable. Confined spaces training will be provided as part of role, however you will need to be eligible to work in confined spaces.

This includes suitability to wear appropriate breathing apparatus and navigating tight spaces. If you have any questions about this, please contact our recruitment team.

You will also need:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a technical subject
• to be happy working outside in all conditions
• a valid driving licence, ideally with category BE
• to be flexible in your approach to work.
