Job Title: Treasury System Support Analyst (Risk)

Location: London

Role Purpose:

An award-winning UK bank is looking to hire an engaging specialist system support analyst. This role is responsible for maintaining the Quality Risk Management System, which supports key processes within their clients' Finance and Treasury teams, such as interest rate risk management, liquidity regulatory reporting, forecasting, FTP, and hedge accounting. Knowledge of this area and SQL experience within a Cloud environment are important.

The role includes ensuring automated processes run smoothly, investigating and resolving issues promptly, facilitating process changes systematically, and engaging with stakeholders to keep them informed.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about or develop your understanding of the QRM system (widely used in banking) and to help the Treasury team enhance and generate efficiencies across financial risk management processes, while maintaining strong controls.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Liquidity Risk and RRP, your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily & monthly QRM automated processes:

o Failure root cause analysis

o Managing upstream relationships and stakeholder communication

o Designing, testing, and implementing scripting changes and workflows

o Being the first point of contact for issues encountered by QRM developers and stakeholders

o Managing users & access permissions

  • Supporting changes to QRM automated processes:

o Providing regression test data

o Designing, documenting, and executing regression testing plans

  • Managing the QRM Database:

o Version control and synchronization across environments

o Historical data migration

o Managing archiving and file retrieval

  • Supporting QRM infrastructure:

o Investigating server outages and root causes

o Monitoring disk space and restarting services

o Applying patches to applications

About You:

  • 3-5 years experience in banking/finance with systems and data
  • Proactive team player with ownership and improvement mindset
  • Ability to read/write SQL and basic programming (e.g., Python, VB)
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS and cloud environments
  • Interest in investigating system issues and root cause analysis
  • Willingness to learn new skills and tools
  • Experience with vendor products (not necessarily QRM)
  • Interest or training in finance/quant modeling
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach
  • Ability to document processes clearly
  • Customer-focused with adherence to SLAs

Qualifications and Memberships:

  • Degree in quantitative subjects (Math, Engineering, Physics, CS) preferred
