Job summary

Verition Fund Management LLC is seeking an experienced engineer to join our Treasury engineering team in London. You will design, build and maintain systems to calculate margin requirements, financing costs, and funding across asset classes, and you will support near real-time trade processing and portfolio optimization.

You will collaborate with a global team of software engineers, quantitative researchers, and traders, applying strong CS fundamentals and OO programming skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a professional software development environment.
• Experience with Python, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Strong CS fundamentals, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud technology is a plus.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of treasury workflows, or post-trade lifecycle processes is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with a global team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain systems to calculate and manage margin requirements, financing interest, and funding costs across asset classes.
• Design and build scalable systems for near real-time trade processing and portfolio optimization.
• Collaborate with global team of software engineers, quantitative researchers, Portfolio Finance, Repo traders to deliver robust solutions.
• Improve performance and resilience of existing services, and optimize data access patterns.
• Maintain ownership mentality of all aspects of our treasury systems and workflows.
