Job summary

Verition Fund Management LLC in London seeks a Portfolio Finance Associate to own day-to-day financing coverage for EMEA, partner with PMs to optimize financing structures, and lead projects shaping how Verition manages its book.

You will collaborate with our financing desks in New York, Dubai, and Hong Kong to gain a global view of the firm's funding strategy, while handling securities lending, reporting, and platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in securities lending, prime brokerage, treasury or financing at a hedge fund or investment bank.
• Solid working knowledge of European and global securities lending markets.
• Familiarity with financing structures including total return swaps, interest rate swaps, and other derivatives.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, or other analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the firm's securities lending book and negotiate fees on hard-to-borrow names.
• Report short interest metrics firm-wide and improve related reporting.
• Analyze corporate actions and surface implications to PMs and the desk.
• Partner with PMs on financing structures and propose enhancements.
• Optimize financing and margin across asset classes with the Margin and Liquidity team.
• Execute the firm's daily FX hedging program and improve it over time.
• Lead platform improvements for reporting, analytics, and decision-making tools.
• Stay ahead of market and regulatory developments and brief the team.
• Partner with risk, compliance, and operations to meet standards.
