Job summary

BIMM University is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support treasury operations across the University with a focus on cash management, banking processes and strong financial controls. You will contribute to cash reporting, forecasting, and the enhancement of NetSuite and related finance systems.

The role emphasizes developing and maintaining treasury records, ensuring data quality, and driving process improvements within a dynamic university environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within Finance, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Financial Operations or a similar finance environment.
  • Good understanding of financial processes, controls and governance, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience processing, analysing and reporting on financial information with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data to produce meaningful reports and insights.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues and support effective resolutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and build positive working relationships.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn new systems, processes and ways of working.
  • Experience using NetSuite or another ERP / finance system would be beneficial.
  • An interest in process improvement, automation and the effective use of technology to enhance finance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process treasury transactions and cash movements, ensuring activities are completed accurately and in line with established controls and procedures.
  • Produce daily and weekly cash position reports, providing timely and reliable information to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to cash flow forecasting activities through the collection, analysis and reporting of treasury data.
  • Monitor bank balances and investigate unusual or unexpected transactions, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Maintain treasury records, banking documentation and account information, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Respond to routine finance system and NetSuite queries, working with colleagues and external providers to resolve issues effectively.
  • Assist with the testing, implementation and ongoing development of finance system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual activity, improve efficiency and make greater use of system functionality and automation.
  • Support the delivery of month-end, year-end and audit requirements, including the preparation of documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and the wider University to provide treasury information, share knowledge and help deliver a high-quality finance service.

Treasury Analyst


Location: Brighton


Salary: £31,720 - £35,000 per annum

About the Role

As a Treasury Analyst, you'll support the effective delivery of treasury operations across the University, helping to ensure cash is managed effectively, banking activities are processed efficiently and financial controls remain robust. You'll contribute to cash reporting and forecasting activities, maintain treasury records and support the smooth operation of banking arrangements across the Group.


Alongside treasury responsibilities, you'll help develop and enhance Finance processes and systems, supporting the continued optimisation of NetSuite, improving data quality and identifying opportunities to streamline ways of working.
