Job summary

NSPCC in London is seeking a proactive Schools Coordinator (peripatetic) to deliver the Schools Service and local offer to primary and secondary settings. You will act as the single point of contact in designated areas, manage volunteers, and drive engagement with schools across London and the South East.

You will work to KPIs, lead volunteer recruitment and training, and support safeguarding best practices while traveling to schools as required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in educational or safeguarding settings.
• Experience of working to KPIs and achieving targets.
• Experience of volunteer recruitment and management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use IT systems (Excel, Word, email) and CRM.

Responsibilities

• Be the single point of contact for primary and secondary schools within designated areas.
• Work to set targets, KPIs and reach plans with your line manager.
• Manage bookings for Speak out. Stay safe programmes and NSPCC workshops.
• Oversee NSPCC volunteer-led workshops for children aged 6-7 and 9-11.
• Engage with secondary schools about Talk Relationships service.
• Lead and support a team of schools service volunteers.
• Conduct quality assurance visits and provide feedback to volunteers.
• Ensure training plans and sign-off for new volunteers.
• Provide volunteer supervision and recruitment/attraction strategies.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and attend events.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and collaborate with internal teams.
