Job summary

The NSPCC Schools Service is seeking a proactive Schools Coordinator to work from home with regular travel across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. You will build links with schools, volunteers and local partners, promoting safeguarding programmes and securing bookings for Speak out. Stay safe.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering a programme, project or service.
  • Experience working toward targets or outcomes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting or recruiting volunteers, or transferable skills.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
  • Confidence using email, databases, Word and Excel.
  • A commitment to children's rights and child-centred practice.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Build relations with schools and serve as NSPCC contact for local primary/secondary schools.
  • Secure bookings for programmes such as Speak Out. Stay Safe. and Talk Relationships.
  • Support volunteers delivering NSPCC work in schools.
  • Recruit, train and supervise volunteers across the region.
  • Visit schools to observe programme delivery and perform QA checks.
  • Develop local partnerships, represent NSPCC at meetings and events.
  • Build relationships with schools, local authorities and organisations to raise awareness.
  • Deliver results against targets: school engagement, bookings, recruitment, service delivery.
  • Plan activity, manage priorities and use data to track progress.
  • Collaborate with regional teams on projects and shared initiatives.
