Job summary

Surrey Choices is seeking an Employment Support Specialist to guide customers in East Surrey toward employment, volunteering, and related opportunities. You will assist with CV writing, interview preparation, and travel training, delivering tailored support to individuals and families across communities.

Travel across East Surrey is required, with core hours Monday–Friday, and a salary around £28,240 per annum.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families/carers and external partners.
• Experience delivering job outcomes for disabled people.
• Kind and caring approach to supporting people.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills.
• Passion for creating diverse communities.
• Ability to communicate well with others.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Good understanding of Employment Law and other relevant legislation.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support customers with employment aspirations and access to paid employment, volunteering and other opportunities.
• Assist with CV writing, interview preparation, and travel training.
• Provide job coaching and ongoing support to customers to achieve outcomes.
