Job summary

Surrey Choices is seeking an Employment Support Specialist to guide and assist customers in achieving employment, volunteering, and community opportunities. You will help with CVs, interview prep, and travel training while fostering independence.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, willingness to travel across West Surrey, and a commitment to supporting people with disabilities. 37.5 hours per week on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, Families/Carers and external partners.
• Experience delivering job outcomes for disabled people.
• Kind and caring approach to supporting people.
• Willingness to learn.
• Passion for creating diverse communities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Good understanding of Employment Law and other relevant legislation.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support customers with their employment aspirations.
• Assist with CV writing and interview preparation.
• Provide job coaching and travel training.
• Travel across Surrey to visit customers and employers.
• Engage with external partners and Families/Carers.
