Job summary

Gecko Travel Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Retail Travel Consultant for a growing travel business in South West Manchester. You will help customers turn holiday ideas into reality, assemble packages, prepare quotes, and follow up on bookings while delivering outstanding service to drive sales.

The role is office-based with 9:30am–5:30pm hours and Saturday rotation. Ideal candidates have travel sales experience, broad destination knowledge, and enthusiasm for cruises and bespoke holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in travel sales or a travel agency environment.
• Strong knowledge of worldwide destinations and package design.
• Ability to sell different types of holidays.
• Strong rapport, needs identification and closing skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Cruise knowledge is advantageous.

Retail Travel Consultant | South West Manchester | Office Based | £26-31K + Commission

Gecko Travel Recruitment are working with an ambitious and expanding travel business who are looking for an experienced Retail Travel Consultant to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new retail venture, with the chance to play a key role in developing a successful travel store as the business continues to grow.

The Role:

As Retail Travel Consultant, you'll be helping customers turn their holiday ideas into reality, offering advice and putting together everything from beach escapes and cruises to luxury holidays and bespoke worldwide trips.

You'll handle customer enquiries, create competitive holiday packages, prepare quotes and follow up on potential bookings. Building lasting relationships and delivering a great customer experience will be just as important as achieving sales targets.

You Will Have:

• Previous experience in a travel sales or travel agency environment
• A good understanding of worldwide destinations and experience putting together holiday packages
• Confidence selling different types of holidays
• A natural ability to build rapport, identify customer needs and close sales
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Cruise knowledge will be advantageous

Additional Info:

• Salary £26-28,000 depending on experience
• £3,000 annual holiday allowance
