The Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust is hiring a Healthcare Assistant to support the Trauma and Orthopaedics team. The role involves assisting with daily patient care, basic health checks, and ward duties within a busy hospital setting.

Applicants should have GCSEs in Maths and English (grades 9–4) or equivalent; previous hospital experience is desirable. Part-time hours are available and training will be provided.

• Demonstrated understanding of Healthcare Assistant role requirements.
• Previous hospital experience is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Support registered nurses in providing safe, caring patient care.
• Assist patients with daily needs: washing, eating, drinking and mobility.
• Check and record basic health information and report concerns to a nurse.
• Keep the ward clean, tidy and well-organised; assist with basic admin tasks.
• Work flexibly across wards and follow training, policies and safety rules.
• Communicate with patients with kindness and respect.
