Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Hospital Healthcare Assistant for Ward 11 – Orthopaedic Trauma. The role involves delivering high standards of nursing support, with a strong emphasis on communication and patient experience.

Applicants should be prepared for a busy ward and will work day and night shifts, including bank holidays and weekends. Previous NHS experience is desirable; full training will be provided, and Care Certificate must be completed within 6 months.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working with day and night shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• NHS experience is desirable, training will be provided and Care Certificate to be completed within 6 months of joining.

Responsibilities

• Provide care duties directly with patients and support the nursing team.
• Assist with washing and personal care, feeding and mobility support.
• Make and change beds, assist with toiling and bedpan collection.
• Help with turning patients to prevent pressure sores and monitor patient comfort.
