Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to oversee ward 34 in trauma orthopaedics. You will lead day-to-day ward operations, support junior staff, and ensure high standards of patient care with a hands-on approach and strong clinical judgment.

The role is permanent in terms of clinical expectations, with a fixed-term maternity cover of 6 months and support from the ward manager and matron.

Qualifikationen

• Essential: Registered Nurse (1st Level)
• Diploma; Post Registration qualification in speciality
• Teaching & assessing qualification
• Desirable: Degree/leadership course

Aufgaben

• Manage the general running of the ward during shifts and coordinate care needs.
• Coordinate safety huddles and inform staff of new risks on shift.
• Liaise with medical team, manning board rounds and assist consultants on daily ward rounds.
• Support ward manager with general management duties and staff development.
