Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Junior Sister to join a busy orthopaedic care team. The role requires visible clinical leadership, independent workload management and collaborative work with ward leaders, nurses, consultants, and the multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will provide safe, effective and compassionate care throughout the inpatient journey and play a pivotal role in clinical governance, staff development and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Providing visible clinical leadership and role modelling professional nursing practice.
• Supporting the day-to-day management and smooth running of the Unit.
• Coordinating patient flow and ensuring effective utilisation of resources.
• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
• Supervising, supporting and developing junior nursing staff and healthcare support workers.
• Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
• Maintaining high standards of patient safety, experience and clinical governance
