Job summary

Paragon Social Care in County Durham is seeking a Children's Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to children and young people in residential homes and community packages. You will be a positive role model, helping them feel safe, supported and encouraged while promoting independence.

You will build trust-based relationships, support daily routines, education and life skills, and collaborate with social workers and families.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Access to own vehicle for work.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Experience with children or young people desired.

Responsibilities

• Providing safe, trauma-informed care for children and young people.
• Building trusting relationships with young people and families.
• Supporting daily routines, education and life skills.
• Encouraging hobbies, healthy routines and community participation.
• Transporting young people to school, appointments and activities.
• Working with social workers and other professionals.
• Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding compliance.
