Job summary

Esland Group in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Residential Support Worker to join our 24/7 children's homes. You will build trusting relationships with young people, support daily living tasks, and help them grow in a therapeutic, nurturing environment.

The role is based at Epworth House, with a shift pattern including sleep-ins and 173 hours per month. A full UK driving licence and right to work are essential, with opportunities to progress within the Residential Department.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions.
• Aged 21 or above is required due to industry regulations.
• Values aligned with Esland, with a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare.
• Previous childcare or support worker experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with domestic needs and socialisation skills in a nurturing environment.
• Engage in educational activities and excursions to support personal growth.
• Work within a 365-day service with a focus on equality and safeguarding.
• Contribute to an educational plan and promote equal opportunities for all young people.
