The post holder will work with young adults experiencing homelessness, operating on a lone-working shift and upholding house rules between 4pm and 9am. You will manage safeguarding, data recording and referrals, and receive full training to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience of and resilience for working with challenging behaviours.
• Excellent listening skills and non-judgemental communication.
• Confident, assertive and resilient for lone working and wider team.
• Understand complex needs and facilitate communication with vulnerable individuals.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and document work using case management databases.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to handle a varied workload.
• Empathy with individuals while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Understanding of homelessness and related support needs (drug, alcohol, mental health).
• Awareness of key public health messages related to contagious diseases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the running of the building and enforce rules, policies and procedures.
• Record information accurately in the work management system.
• Complete safeguarding processes as appropriate.
• Assist residents to maintain a clean and tidy home.
• Support recycling and waste management in line with safety regs.
• Keep residents safe, inspired and engaged to meet their goals.
• Provide trauma-informed responses to behavioural issues.
• Respect privacy and dignity at all times.
• Fulfil reasonable instructions from management and participate in meetings.
