The Brick is a growing charity delivering relief, restoration and reformation to vulnerable people in the Wigan area. This Outreach Support Worker role focuses on engaging rough sleepers, developing referral pathways, and promoting access to emergency accommodation and related services.

You will work across multiple sites in the borough, on flexible hours including mornings and weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Full UK Driving License is essential.
• Ability to work across multiple sites in Wigan.
• Strong communication and safeguarding awareness is required.
• Experience in outreach, social housing, or homelessness services is desirable.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data recording in case management systems is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Undertake extensive outreach to rough sleepers, including early mornings and weekends.
• Assess needs and provide asset-based offers of support or accommodation.
• Collaborate with Wigan Council, MASH, Central Watch, and other agencies to remove barriers.
• Advocate for welfare rights, health needs, and linked services.
• Promote awareness of the Outreach service within the community and local businesses.
• Build relationships with housing, social, mental health, and life-centre partners.
• Maintain caseloads and accurately record data in Lamplight and other databases.
• Travel across the Wigan borough delivering outreach and support.
• Attend team meetings, case conferences, and supervision as required.
