Job summary

Stonepillow is recruiting a Day Support Worker to assist homeless young people in Chichester. You will provide person-centered support, build trust, and operate within a trauma-informed framework to promote safety and positive outcomes.

The role involves managing caseloads, maintaining case files, and collaborating with partners to support young people in developing life skills and independence. Salary £24,733 per annum, permanent contract, 37.42 hours on a rota.

Qualifications

• Have a kind and ‘never give up attitude’ to support young people.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young people to create positive change.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in a person-centred way.
• Model a kind, positive, proactive manner to engage with young people and ensure safety.
• Manage your own caseload and maintain processes.
• Produce individual support and risk assessments with input from young people.
• Uphold voice of the young person in case management and with partners.
• Support case file audits and documentation of safeguarding actions.
• Facilitate quarterly case reviews with relevant professionals.
• Coordinate referrals and Life Skills Programme for independence.
• Promote unconditional positive regard and a never-give-up approach.
