Job summary

Stonepillow is recruiting for a Night Support Worker to join our Young People Service in Chichester. This permanent, full-time role offers a 42.11-hour week with a 4 nights on / 4 nights off rota (8pm–8am).

You will support homeless young people in a trauma-informed, kind manner, and follow safeguarding, whistleblowing and health & safety requirements. You will manage your own caseload, provide risk assessments, ensure the young person’s voice is heard, and collaborate with partners to support

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and child/young person protection procedures.
• Able to work in challenging situations and maintain professional boundaries.
• Excellent communication and listening skills with a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in a person-centred way.
• Model a kind, positive, and proactive approach to engage young people and secure meaningful outcomes.
• Manage your own caseload and ensure processes are maintained.
• Produce an individual support and risk assessment with input from the young people.
• Ensure the voice of the young person is heard in case management and with partners.
• Support the team leader with case file audits and documented decision-making.
• Facilitate quarterly case reviews with the line manager, the young person, and professionals.
• Support the line manager in coordinating referrals.
• Encourage life skills development to promote independence.
• Be a proponent of unconditional positive regard for the young people.
