Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Young Persons Support Worker in the community across Greater Manchester. This temporary 3-month contract delivers trauma-informed, strengths-based homelessness prevention and support for 18-25 year olds, managing caseloads and delivering person-centred interventions.

The role requires risk assessments, SMART planning, tenancy support, budgeting, and helping clients access education, training, employment or meaningful activity, with partnership work across authorities

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with complex needs and homelessness risk.
• Experience managing a caseload and evidencing outcomes against targets.
• Experience delivering outcomes-based contracts or service delivery.
• Proven ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable young people.
• Experience liaising with statutory services, landlords, and voluntary partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of young people (18-25) delivering strengths-based, person-centered support aligned to KPIs.
• Conduct risk and needs assessments and develop SMART, outcome-focused support plans.
• Provide one-to-one support in the community and within tenancies to sustain accommodation.
• Support young people to improve financial capability, including budgeting and rent management.
• Help young people identify and access education, training, employment, or meaningful activities.
• Safeguard young people by responding to concerns and emergencies in line with policy and law.
• Maintain accurate records on the client database and contribute to monitoring/reporting requirements.
• Build and maintain productive partnerships with local authorities, health services, landlords, charities, and community organisations.
• Involve young people in decisions about their support and co-produce plans and reviews.
