Job summary

Leicestershire County Council's Youth & Justice Service is seeking an Early Intervention Youth Worker to build trusted relationships with children 11+ and their families, deliver targeted interventions, and help them access the right support. The role is based at County Hall and involves working across Leicestershire, with a focus on Hinckley & Bosworth and North West Leicestershire.

You will complete referrals, conduct dynamic assessments, and support safeguarding, ensuring children are kept

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or above and substantial experience working with children aged 11+ and families.
Ability to complete referrals to partner agencies and deliver targeted interventions.
Understanding of safeguarding, trauma, and adverse childhood experiences.
Carries out assessments to identify risks and plan short, safe interventions.
Experience capturing children's voices to inform decisions and case records.

Responsibilities

Conduct timely assessments to identify risks, needs and priorities.
Provide short interventions to stabilise situations and signpost to services.
Develop strong multi-agency relationships to support children and families.
Advocate for children and assist families to access right support and referrals.
Work across Leicestershire with focus on Hinckley and Bosworth and NW Leicestershire.
