Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an Early Intervention Youth Worker to support children aged 11+ and their families. You will build trusted relationships, complete referrals, deliver targeted interventions, and help navigate local services.

The role is based at County Hall with county-wide responsibilities in Hinckley & Bosworth and North West Leicestershire. You will work in a safeguarding‑minded team, participate in supervision, and contribute to service development while supporting

Qualifications

Qualification level required – NVQ Level 3 or above and significant experience of working with children (11 years+) and families.
Conduct timely and dynamic assessments to identify immediate risks, needs and priorities.
Demonstrate understanding of safeguarding policies and promoting the welfare of the child.
Ability to guide families to the most appropriate local services and complete referrals.
Experience forming positive relationships with professional partners and collaborating to meet needs.

Responsibilities

Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
Complete referrals to partner agencies and deliver purposeful one-to-one interventions.
Provide support for safe, planned closures and help families access services.
Collaborate with multi-agency partners and contribute to service development and supervision.
