Job summary

Oasis Community Housing is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist in our Young People’s Supported Housing service in London. You will provide trauma-informed, holistic support to young people aged 16-21 across multiple properties, coordinating with Children’s Services to achieve positive outcomes.

The role involves evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a 37-hour week schedule, with a focus on safeguarding, MDT collaboration and clear record-keeping for monitoring outcomes.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification to NVQ Level 3 (Essential)
• At least 2 years' experience as a Support Worker (Essential)
• Experience working with children and young people, especially those experiencing homelessness including leaving the care system, and related issues including mental ill health, trauma, abuse, alcohol and substance misuse and offending (Essential)
• Experience of using person centred support plans (Desirable)
• Experience working in the safeguarding arena (Desirable)
• Experience of participating in MDT meetings (Desirable)
• Experience working in registered/regulated services (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic support to children and young people within our supported housing projects, personalised to individual needs and regularly reviewed.
• Engage in MDT approaches to support children and young people with Children's Services and other professionals.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to and concerns reported appropriately.
• Maintain comprehensive case files and use In-Form data system to measure outcomes.
• Explain project Handbook and service expectations at entry and reinforce as needed.
