Job summary

Kibble is hiring a Child and Youth Care Worker to support children and young people who have experienced trauma or adversity. You will work across care, education, and corporate areas, focusing on safety, development, and meaningful activity.

The role requires trauma-informed practice, resilience, and the ability to collaborate with families and professionals. A flexible shift pattern including early and back shifts is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
• Experience in social care sector is desirable.
• Experience in residential childcare is desirable.
• Be willing to work across multiple services within the Kibble Group.

Responsibilities

• Direct work with children and young people, adapting targets within care plans.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to review targets and care plans.
• Meet with families to ensure home contact and cooperation on targets.
• Record placement plans and deliver required reports to authorities.
• Work unsupervised and with initiative, maintaining safety and well-being.

Skills

Experience with children and young ppl

Full driving licence desirable

Education

HNC in Social Care

SVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent
