Kibble is seeking a Child and Youth Care Worker to provide direct care and support to young people aged 12 to 25 across Open Campus, Safe Centre, Intensive Services and Community Services. You will deliver a safe, nurturing environment and implement care plans under social pedagogical principles.

You will work across services, build trust, and promote coping skills while ensuring safety and wellbeing. A relevant qualification and a commitment to trauma-informed practice are essential.

Formación

• HNC in Social Care, SVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children and young people or providing care/support to vulnerable people.
• Experience of working within the social care sector.
• Experience of working within residential childcare.
• Be willing to work in any service across the Kibble Group including the Safe Centre (Secure Care) or Community Based Services.
• Residential Childcare is regulated work and if successful you will be required to register with the SSSC, who are the workforce regulator, within their applied timeframes.
• Possess a full driving licence and be willing and able to drive school transport is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Have direct responsibility for the care and development of a number of children and young people, with placement programmes and targets reviewed regularly.
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary team members within Kibble to ensure understanding of targets and monitor progress.
• Liaise with the area team social worker to align care plans and tasks with targets.
• Meet with parent(s) or relatives to maintain family contact and support.
• Ensure placement plans for each child are recorded per organisational requirements.
• Ensure required reports for the Children’s Panel, Court, Procurator Fiscal, and social workers are provided on time.
