Job summary

Nacro seeks a compassionate Support Worker for the Silverdale Homeless Project in Pembrokeshire. You will provide trauma-informed support in a fast-paced environment, working with a colleague per shift to create a calm, welcoming space for clients in emergency accommodation.

You will use a person-centred approach to understand needs, develop bespoke support pathways, and support clients toward greater stability and independence. DBS is required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering trauma-informed, strengths-based support that promotes emotional and physical wellbeing.
  • Building trusting, respectful relationships to encourage engagement and positive change.
  • Co-producing and reviewing individualised support plans with clear outcomes.
  • Empowering individuals to make informed choices and take an active role in decisions about their lives.
  • Supporting move-on options and search for suitable accommodation.
  • Promoting safeguarding, dignity, and respect; responding to concerns as needed.
  • Working with internal teams and external agencies to access specialist support.
  • Maintaining accurate, person-centred records and contributing to shift handovers.
  • Keeping environments clean, safe and welcoming through domestic tasks.
  • Recording and reporting incidents, concerns, and complaints professionally and sensitively.
