Job summary

Connex Education are working with a SEND School in Ellesmere Port to recruit a SEMH Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting pupils aged 9-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs.

There is potential for a direct contract for the right candidate. Ideal candidates will have experience with SEMH, a trauma-informed approach to managing behaviour, and a commitment to building life skills.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH.
• Using a trauma-informed approach when managing challenging behaviour.
• Promoting life skills and empowering pupils by building confidence.

Responsibilities

• Support SEMH pupils in a SEND setting.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment and behaviour management.
• Collaborate with families and the school to implement strategies.
