Job summary

Inspire EHC in King’s Lynn is seeking a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school. You will provide 1:1 and small-group SEMH support, using trauma-informed strategies to help pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills.

All applicants will require an enhanced DBS check and suitable references, with opportunities for progression within SEND/SEMH. This role runs Monday to Friday, term time only and is based in King's Lynn.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar).
• Calm, patient, empathetic and resilient.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group SEMH support
• Use trauma-informed and de-escalation strategies
• Help pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills
• Support personalised learning programmes and consistent routines
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
