Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates seeks a dedicated Support Worker for a 4-bed residential children’s home in the UK. You will support young people with trauma, helping them develop independence and healthy routines in a safeguarding-focused environment. The role involves long shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

A driver with a full UK licence is required; sponsorship is not available. Salary is £31,000 OTE including sleep-ins, with potential to reach up to £34,000 including bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerable young people under 18 and SEN environments.
• Ability to work in a trauma-informed setting with patience and consistency.
• Demonstrated dedication and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Support children with emotional, physical and developmental needs.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Act as a positive role model and therapeutic support for trauma.
• Encourage activities, routines and life experiences to build independence.
• Work as part of a dedicated team and uphold safeguarding practices.
