Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Residential Children & Young People Worker for a permanent, full-time role in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. You will support families with complex needs in a residential setting, promoting wellbeing, resilience and safety.

The role requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve it, driving licence, weekend availability, and collaboration with parents and professionals.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working with families or children in a similar setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Building trusting, nurturing relationships with families to promote their independence and wellbeing.
• Collaborating with parents, carers and professionals to support care plans and safeguarding.
• Maintaining the residential environment including cooking, cleaning and safety.
• Documenting case information accurately and keeping records up to date.
• Promoting a safe environment at all times in line with safeguarding procedures.

Education

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

Full UK Driving Licence
