Job summary

SCR is recruiting Residential Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting children aged 7–10 across three specialist, trauma-informed residential homes in Fontwell and Littlehampton.

You will play an important role as a nurturing, parental figure, providing consistency, boundaries and emotional support while building long-term, therapeutic relationships and helping children develop confidence and stability.

Qualifications

• Emotionally resilient and able to manage challenging situations.
• Experience working with children in residential care, youth work, SEN, or family support recommended.
• Must have access to your own vehicle; homes are in rural areas.

Responsibilities

• Support children with their daily needs and routines.
• Prepare and cook meals.
• Create a calm, safe, nurturing home environment.
• Spend quality time with the children and engage in play and activities.
• Encourage positive relationships and emotional development.
