Job summary

Homes for Support is recruiting experienced Residential Children’s Support Workers for our established homes and two new specialist solo complex-care provisions in Crewe. You’ll bring residential childcare experience to help create safe, stable, nurturing homes for children and young people.

You will build trauma-informed, therapeutic care plans, support routines, education and activities, and work as part of a dedicated shift team to keep boundaries calm and consistent.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential childcare or similar settings.
• Ability to support children through distress and challenging behaviour.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour-support strategies.
• Safeguard children and record concerns accurately.
• Complete high-quality daily records.
• Work as part of a shift team and support routines and activities.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with children and young people.
• Provide trauma-informed, therapeutic and individualised care.
• Help children feel safe, valued and able to progress.
• Create positive childhood experiences through meals, hobbies and outings.
• Maintain calm, clear boundaries and contribute to handovers and meetings.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partner professionals.
