Job summary

Fair Ways is recruiting a Support Worker for our residential children’s home in Portchester. You will provide high-quality care to children aged 12 to 18, building positive relationships and supporting them to reach their potential.

Role involves a 2 on/4 off rolling rota, early start, and meals provided. You must have a driving licence, be DBS checked, and have the right to work in the UK. Training and development are emphasised within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure required (costs met by employer).
• Right to work in the UK demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Build respectful, impactful relationships with children and maintain professional boundaries.
• Advocate for children in care and ensure they have a voice in care planning.
• Plan and participate in activities to support enrichment and confidence building.
• Promote a clean, tidy, homely environment modelling high standards of care and safety.
• Deliver trauma-informed support using RiiSE training and de-escalation when needed.
• Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with policy and external agency guidance.
