Job summary

Greenleaf seeks dedicated practitioners to join our residential children’s home team in Thornhill. You will provide compassionate care, support therapeutic outcomes, and uphold safeguarding practices for young people who have experienced trauma.

You will contribute to planning, participate in a keyperson system, and maintain high standards of recording and communication. The role requires shift work, including sleepovers, with opportunities for career progression and development within Greenleaf.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a residential children’s home.
• Eligible for SSSC registration and PVG membership.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and sleepovers.
• Commitment to SVQ 3 and HNC in social care or related qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Contribute to assessment processes and delivery of support programmes.
• Attend planning and review meetings and participate in a keyperson system.
• Ensure accurate recording of information in line with policies and regulations.
• Work within a shift system including sleepovers and longer hours.
• Undertake health and safety checks and safety/security checks as required.
• Pursue ongoing training and own personal development.
