Job summary

Greenleaf House in Biggar, United Kingdom, invites applications for a Residential Childcare Practitioner. You will work within a therapeutic, trauma-informed setting to support young people up to age 21, providing compassionate care and structured routines.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a residential children’s home.
• Eligible for SSSC registration and PVG membership.
• Full UK manual driving licence and insurability for company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to children and young people in accordance with policies.
• Contribute to assessment and delivery of support programmes.
• Attend planning and review meetings and participate in keyperson system.
• Record information accurately in line with policies and regulations.
• Work a shift system including sleepovers and weekends.
• Conduct health and safety and safeguarding checks as required.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
• Apply de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies when needed.
• Promote participation, structure, boundaries and routine.
• Comply with the code of conduct and safeguarding reporting.
