Job summary

The Academy of Central Bedfordshire is seeking a Reading and Literacy Mentor to improve literacy outcomes for vulnerable learners, helping students develop reading skills, confidence and resilience to access learning and achieve future success. This cross-site role works with students at Stotfold and Houghton Regis campuses.

It is 18 hours a week, term time only, with a negotiable pattern likely between 9 am and 3 pm.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate reading interventions.
• Collaborate with Head of English, SENDCo, English Dept and Teaching Assistants.
• Support vulnerable learners to develop reading skills, confidence and resilience.
