Job summary

Cottenham Village College is seeking a Reading Mentor to join our team. You will deliver one-to-one and small-group reading interventions, promote a love of reading, and support literacy strategies to help students access the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates passion for literacy and student development.
• Experience supporting reading development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group reading interventions to improve fluency and comprehension.
• Encourage a love of reading and develop positive reading habits.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Support delivery of school literacy strategies and initiatives.
• Assist in assessing reading abilities and identifying interventions.
• Build supportive relationships with students to foster engagement.
