Job summary

St Giles Trust is seeking a Project Trainer and Assessor to join the Aspiring Champions team in Rhyl and Colwyn Bay. You will deliver training, assess progress and support learners towards recognised qualifications, while building partnerships and delivering workshops within the community.

The role requires experience with youth and families facing adversity, familiarity with trauma‑informed approaches and a commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering community, family or youth support services.
• Experience delivering training.
• Willingness to work towards TAQA, CAVA or A1 assessor qualification.
• Knowledge of advice, guidance, coaching or mentoring approaches.
• Experience with vulnerable young people or families facing multiple disadvantage.
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed, strengths‑based and person‑centred approaches.
• Strong safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and partnership skills.
• Good IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training across Rhyl and Colwyn Bay.
• Provide assessment and progression support toward qualifications.
• Develop partnerships and facilitate workshops and community activities.
• Offer direct support to participants where appropriate.
