Job summary

Birmingham Children's Trust is seeking a Practice Model Officer to help embed the Connections Count approach across the Learning Academy and Trust. You will work with practitioners, managers and leaders to translate trauma-informed, relationship-based practice into everyday conversations and decisions with children and families.

You will design and deliver engaging learning, create practical tools, support teams directly, and foster reflection and learning, while using feedback and quality

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in children's social care or related field.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed, attachment-aware and systemic practice.
  • Experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning and workforce development.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence, support and inspire others to develop their practice.
  • A recognised qualification in social work, psychology, education or related subject and relevant professional registration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging learning and reflect on impact.
  • Develop practical tools and resources for teams.
  • Support teams directly to apply the practice model.
  • Create opportunities for reflection and learning across the Trust.
  • Use feedback and practice evidence to strengthen the approach.
