Job summary

Voluntary Service Aberdeen is seeking a part-time Support Worker in Aberdeen for the St Aubins Mental Health Service. 28 hours per week with a fixed rolling rota, including late/early shifts and some weekend work; sleepovers with a nightly allowance provide additional income.

The role requires trauma-informed care with service users living with mental illness and registration with SSSC. A PVG is required; SCQF Level 6 commitment within 3 years is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience working with challenging behaviour and trauma informed practice.
• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is essential.
• Membership of the PVG scheme and commitment to ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with service users and maintain records.
• Assist with daily living needs, safeguarding, and personal care where needed.
• Support recovery-focused plans and community integration.
• Engage in supervision, appraisal, and learning opportunities.
