Job summary

Randstad Staffing is seeking a dedicated Learning and Pastoral Support Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH, Autism and ADHD in a specialist setting.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 16:30, during term time. You’ll provide learning and pastoral support in small classes, help track progress, and collaborate with teachers on EHCP/IEP plans while maintaining a safe, restorative environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/5 or Level 2 equivalent.
• Experience supporting SEND or SEMH needs.
• 3 to 6 months in educational settings with challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small focused classes with learning and pastoral care.
• Use Trauma-Informed Practice to support independence.
• Collaborate with teachers on EHCP and IEP plans and track progress.
• Maintain a safe environment using restorative approaches.
