Job summary

Target Housing in Doncaster is seeking a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality housing and support services to residents with complex needs, helping them sustain tenancies.

You will work with a multi-agency team, conduct support planning and risk assessments, and support residents toward independent living within a PIE and trauma-informed framework. Typical hours are 9am–5pm, with a 20-minute lunch break. A caseload will be managed to achieve personalised goals.

Qualifications

• Understanding of services provided to vulnerable groups.
• Understanding of delivering supported housing services.
• Understanding of welfare benefits system.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents when moving in or out of Target accommodation.
• Assess the circumstances, aspirations and needs of each resident to create a relevant support plan.
• Act as residents' keyworker offering advice and support to develop independent living skills.
• Assist residents to maximise their income and manage personal budgets.
• Monitor compliance with occupancy agreements and address non-compliance issues with management.
• Liaise with external bodies to ensure residents' needs are met and coordinated.
