Oldham Council is seeking a Supported Housing Gateway Officer to manage a Centralised Gateway for access to supported accommodation and coordinate matching of referrals to available housing based on assessed need.

You will work with providers to strengthen referral pathways, promote trauma-informed practice and reduce waiting times. Fixed-term 12 months, 36.66 hours per week, salary £32,578–£35,570 per year, based at Spindles Shopping Centre, Oldham.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of working with vulnerable customers or housing issues is required.
• Ability to prioritise a complex workload of competing priorities in the best interests of the customer.

Aufgaben

• Deliver a Centralised Gateway for access to all supported accommodation provision within the borough.
• Develop and implement systems to manage referral demand against available voids.
• Undertake robust risk and needs assessments with a person-centred approach.
• Implement and monitor processes for referral, assessment and allocation from enquiry to completion.
• Understand the needs of homeless people and trauma-informed, empathetic approaches.
• Manage waiting lists to match needs to tier provision.
• Liaise with providers to ensure appropriate matches between referrals and provision.
