Job summary

St Werburghs Practice in Chester is seeking a counsellor to join its homeless-focused service. You will provide free, confidential trauma-informed counselling to referred individuals with homelessness histories, and work with a small, skilled team.

You will engage with clients across one-to-one, group, and drop-in formats, and collaborate with external agencies to support pathways back into mainstream accommodation.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed counselling qualification and registration.
• Experience supporting homeless individuals or in social health settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a small, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Offer free, confidential trauma-informed counselling to referred homeless individuals.
• Respond to client needs across individual, group or drop-in formats.
• Work with external agencies to support pathways to housing and mainstream living.
