Job summary

Compass Community Schools is seeking a Family Support Coordinator to drive a holistic, therapeutic approach for pupils and families. You will work closely with the Therapeutic Pastoral Lead and the Senior Leadership Team to deliver targeted interventions and coordinate support plans.

You will act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring safeguarding procedures align with statutory guidance while collaborating with parents, carers, social workers and other professionals to remove

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths at minimum; willingness to pursue further pastoral qualifications.
• Experience in safeguarding and multi-agency work is ideal.
• Demonstrated empathy and resilience in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils and families to improve attendance and engagement.
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) following statutory guidance.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to reduce barriers and risk.
• Lead family engagement initiatives and coordinate interventions.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to school improvement priorities.
• Maintain records and participate in TAC meetings and reviews.
