Zusammenfassung

Randstad Student & Worker Support is seeking an Educational Well-Being Mentor to support looked-after and vulnerable children across Birmingham. The role combines 1:1 mentoring and small-group sessions, focused on exam preparation and school transitions, with a trauma-informed approach.

Hours are sessional (£25.00 - £30.00 per hour) and delivered across community venues, schools, and family hubs, offering hybrid/digital options. DBS checks and safeguarding training are required or in progress.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Level 2/3 qualification in counselling, CBT, mental health or trauma-informed practice.
• Safeguarding Level 1 training or willingness to complete before start.
• Enhanced DBS check with Barred List checks (or active DBS Update Service).

Aufgaben

• Deliver 1:1 mentoring sessions focused on revision techniques, emotional resilience and exam stress management.
• Design and run small group wellbeing or transition workshops during school holidays.
• Co-produce tailored action plans with each child and share progress with social workers and Designated Teachers.
• Use validated tools (e.g., SDQ, RCADS, CYP-IAPT) to monitor wellbeing and progress.
• Provide trauma-informed, inclusive support for neurodivergent pupils and those with SEND.
• Collaborate with Designated Teachers, IROs, social workers and mental health professionals for integrated pathways.
• Maintain safeguarding standards in line with local policies and KCSIE guidelines.
