Zusammenfassung

Randstad UK is seeking Educational Well-Being Mentors to support Looked-after children across Birmingham with community-based 1:1 and small-group sessions.

You will help CIC, PLAC, and CWSW students prepare for public exams and manage school transitions, using trauma-informed approaches and collaboration with social workers and teachers.

This role offers hybrid/digital delivery with flexible after-school and holiday sessions, safeguarding, and ongoing CPD.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum Level 2 or 3 in Counselling, CBT, Mental Health, Child Development, or Trauma-Informed Practice (or equivalent).
• Level 1 Safeguarding Training (or willingness to complete prior to start).
• Enhanced DBS Check with Barred List checks (or active DBS Update Service).
• Proven track record of delivering 1:1 or small group mentoring/interventions for care-experienced or vulnerable children and young people.
• Understanding of ACEs, trauma, attachment difficulties, and strategies to support exam anxiety and emotional regulation.

Aufgaben

• Deliver 1:1 sessions and small group workshops focusing on revision techniques and resilience.
• Co-design tailored support plans with each child and share progress with social workers and carers.
• Use validated tools (SDQ, RCADS, CYP-IAPT) to monitor wellbeing and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, social workers, and mental health professionals to coordinate support.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and GDPR-compliant records.
