Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Education Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for young people with SEND in homes and community settings. You will deliver sessions using our curriculum across EHCP areas, fostering confidence, emotional regulation, and practical life skills.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a child-centered holistic approach, and DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years working with children or young people with complex needs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health).
• Approach: Child-centered, holistic support; ability to adapt curriculum for individual students.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, positive relationships with children and young people in homes or community settings.
• Provide one-to-one support and deliver creative, interest-based activities.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence development.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for diverse needs.
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support as needed.
